ADD -- blessing and curse
I want to try to make an "enhanced" CD. You know the kind. Mixed media. It would have the standard audio, but may have additional features like a "bonus" video or a fact sheet or whatever.

Anybody know how to do this? I know I need a CD-RW, and I've got a rewritable drive on my computer, and I'm using Sonic RecordNow.

I don't remember if SonicNow has that option, but I know I switched from using Sonic to Nero because well nero is a lot faster. Anyways Nero has the option of mixed CD,.

Is there a freeware version of Nero?

I'm not sure if there is or not, but a friend of mine gave me a copy of his. I've never even bothered to explore it, because I haven't needed it, but it's useful to know I can do an enchanced CD with that, because I was planning on doing a live CD with video soon... thanks, Mindset!

I usually make enhanced CD's regularly, I tend to put regular audio so I can listen anywhere I go, and then session data, and mix down in high resolutions along with it, so that I can take it from home to studio and back.

Actually, let me see if my notebook has Sonic Now,because I do believe it does....
I'm taking it that your talking about the Sonic RECORDNOW! program.... From what I just saw, and also searching on the net, Sonic does not have the option to create an Enhanced CD. Nero does not come free, unless you get it packaged with a CDRW or DVDRW drive.

Supposidly your allowed to create one in any program... just don't close the disk, and well, do another session, instead add data.... I found this

I didn't read it all the way, just the last couple pages. Maybe helpful for you, unless you dish out whatever it costs for Nero (though I'm sure that Nero shouldn't be the only program that allows it the easiest).

CD players can play CD-RWs? Didn't know that...

I think some can if the session is closed.

Normally, though, when you do an "enhanced" CD, you use the CD-RW as a "master" and just make "exact copies" from that CD-RW master.

You can also make enhanced cd's with regular cdr's. I thought you ment CDRW Drive, not an actual CDRW lol.

nero is everywhere. i get a new copy whenever i get a new computer or a new cd burner drive ,etc.

everything comes with a version of nero nowadays. its the whore of burning apps.

roxio is second.
