Audigy

Yeh bro I have Audigy 2 Platinum with the breakout box.

Do you have the breakout box with yours and which Audigy do you have.

I personally do like it though I would preferr a 8 in 8 out card but I will get that one day.

It is pretty noiseless and the Mediasource wave recorder and editor is a real good addittion for recording and Mastering of a track.

I have Midi in and out and SPDIF and Digital in and out optical inputs.

Make sure you install the card properly and for a starting out basic card it is good value.
I have recorded 2 Cds using the Pc and have not had much problems and the problems I have had are purely lack of knowledge.

Also no problems with Xp Just make sure you install all your drivers and if you have onboard soundcard ( Switch it off ) because that can cause all sorts of problems and most of my friends that have had problems is the fact the had the on board sound still active.

Otherwise it should be all sweet bro.

Also get the Firmware and driver updates from creative.

There are those of us who had exactly one experience with the Audigy, and that was enough :)

Seriously, dude, you can do better for the money.

I thought about getting an audigy 2 for a little while since they're so cheap, but then some guy recommended an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 which I can get for around $75 online, which is what I plan on getting, I don't think I'll ever go back to sound blaster after that.

Don't forget to pick up either a preamp or mixer if you want to make use fo that card. don't get me wrong. It's a great card but it has no preamps.
