... or any of the other Guitar Tracks Pro family? I am having serious latency issues when I probably (hopefully?) have the required ingredients to prevent it! Hoping I'll find anyone w/Cakewalk GTP 4 (or whatever the corresponding Cakewalk components contained in GTP 4 are). Not inexperienced with recording, just digital recording. I am simply not that familiar with every setting I need to be concious of. HELP!!!
M-Audio Fast Track (with USB 2... I think/hope), Dell D620 w/Core 2 Duo & 3 gig RAM, Sure 57, also have Cubase LE too if I can't figure the Cakewalk product out. Bottom line... I'm an analog person (read... old) who has some experience with digital (couple of successful projects on a Presonus Firepod). Oh yeah, did I mention... HELP!!!???

Just saw this post---I might be able to help some. I too have the guitar pro and use m-audio fast track. The earlier version though. Something that might help with a latency problem is using an asio driver for the fast track. Let me know specifically what you are having issues with and I will try to help

dont know but......... I used GT3 for a long while and finally properly configured my sound card (delta 44) and eliminated the problem. First investigate Direct Monitoring. Gimme sec to find old GT3 manual. Found it. GT3 calls this input monitoring. This allows you to hear the sound coming into your card in concert with your playback. If you are using direct monitoring and stil incurring large latency then adjust your sound card/interface to minimum buffer size you can use without droputs, crackles etc. I finally used buffer 256. First see if your input monitoring is on. Hope this helps.
