Outdated, I'm not sure...I mean what's a drum machine
supposed to do? The only thing better than the 16 is
probably
the Roland R8 MK. II. It's got more advanced programming functions. But for a basic do it all machine
it's better than average I think. Sounds better than any
Zoom I've heared. Sound is definitely thicker.
Regarding the website. There is one I came across a few
years ago. It's filled with die hard users. Don't know if
you'd still find it. Use a good search engine. I have a feeling
it's still around. Heck, Ric Springfield fan clubs are still around!

By the way, I use the 16 to run a DM5. It's not bad
for a home recording set-up.
