Any Sublime lovers?

So my vocal teacher told me that I need to work on my "full voice" because she said it sucks....haha. Great encouragement huh?

So I thought what better song to work on your full voice singing than Santeria by Sublime.

I definitely forgot the lyrics about 1/3rd of the way through and it got really ugly, so i just cut it off to spare your ears.



Let me know what you guys think I'd appreciate the feedback, and yes, I realize that I BUTCHERED some of the high notes :-\

seeing that the singing as absolutly amazing in the original, i understand its a hard song to copy! But, you did a damn fine job my friend! keep up the good work!
 
Yea, it's hard to match his voice, and it's even harder to hit those notes. My teacher tells me I have a long way to go before I can sing like that, but in a year or so I'll post another version maybe it will be better :o
 
Turn down the reverb a tad and it's a great cover, Nowell's notes are to damn high for me.
