I'm an editor at the St. Petersburg Times. I do some writing only on the side now, after 10 years or so as a reporter writing every day. I write about stuff that interests me, and I"m lucky enough to be able, now, to write about music.

So Scriabin, what do you do and do you get across the bay much?

I took a vacation to FL, last year and hung out in St. Pete's for awhile. Went to that Salvador Dhali museum which was pretty cool, and also the pier was pretty neat too.

Need any shooters, Fab? Experienced photojournalist seeks ultimate budget microphone and well-played photographic fulfillment.

Eh???? Speak up son!!! I can't hear ya!!

Actually I just turned 38. Just starting to see a few gray hairs peeking through...

So you live in Tampa? Do you have some MP3s posted, or do you play out somewhere?

Fab

Yeah, dude, check out my website: http://www.nd.edu/~jfogarty

Thats my informal band's informal website. Only two of us, and our song writing is much better than our playing :)

Thats pretty cool that you work for the st. pete times, we get that paper too. Let me know when that arcticle is gonna run so I can check it out.

I'll do that! It won't be for awhile (gotta hang on to these "demo" mics and preamps for as long as I can!)

And freelance photographers are always welcome... stress the FREE!

Check the B1 for yourself!!

Here's some super-quick unscientific bottom-feeding Studio Projects B1 mic tests. "Berrytest" is through a Behringer MX802a preamp, and "Toobtest" is through the ART Tube MP Studio. Each includes a small amount of blathering and some key jangling. My POS acoustic guitar sounds so bad I couldn't bring myself to post any recordings of it. Very short files!!
