Hi,
I recently bought an M-Audio Black Box on Ebay for a dirt cheap price. It sounds pretty good on the website, but not too sure about the amp modelling in practice. I plan on using it for just home recording of demos with Cubase, how is the audio interface? I've found that I'll probably have to ignore the direct-line guitar recording function (it's difficult to get good tone from it, despite the hype).
I'm happy enough with it because I didn't pay much, and I have a USB interface, but from my experience they're guilty of a lot of bull about the quality of the amp modelling (Roger Linn: "of AdrenaLinn fame"). I can't see myself using it much outside of the bedroom.
Just wondering if any other users would like to comment on how they found this? I haven't properly tried it out recording via a XLR mic yet, is it the same quality of interface as FastTrack etc?
