Hey, not to slant these forums, but the slowness is dogging me. Is there any other forums where I can talk it up about my home studio, specifically cakewalk?

No offense to HR bbs.

well you know cakewalk has their whole newgroups things right? just go to cakewalk.com. There's also recordingwebsite.com but I don't find it all that great. (hence I am here now!)

I also just saw studiotalk.com but i think it literally just started as it has like 8 members adand 12 posts, but the oldest post is yesterday.

I'm sure they will have their issue fixed here soon though.

The Cakewalk groups are good...but very very busy. They are also a bit of a pain to access through AOL, but doable. (just download/install Netscape 7, log in to AOL, minimize AOL, and use Netscape to go to the support area of Cakewalk.com).

I agree - I find the newsgroups a bit of a pain and have wished cakewalk would switch to forums. Maybe I'll hound em to do so. That studiotalk.com looks cool, but not much talking there.

Funny you should mention the news group thingy,I hate that format.I went to a Sonar seminar awhile back and mentioned your same concerns to the rep,but you know how that goes.
here's a link.....

not very busy but it's a dedicated site.

This site is definitely the best IMHO though.

You shouldn't complain. Take your time and peruse the archives. There's more stuff in them than you'll ever use.

yes, i dig these forums - i was just getting frustrated the days they were going so darn slow! :)

We all get frustrated at times with the speed, lpguitars. But there's nothing that can be done except slow our own pace down to that of the internet or get off line and record some original stuff.
I get more recording done when the internet is slow that at any other time.

Oh, welcome to HR.com.
