Any leslie speaker owners

anybody got one of these drool worthy speaker pieces of furniture??

just got a 70s model fixed & working after years of not working & OMIGOD it's unbelievable!!!

I've got numerous simulations from dynacord & line 6 but nothing quite gets to the real thing
 
Oh yeah baby!!!!! I've had my 147 for a few years now. Instant wood! Which model do you have?
 
I have 2 Leslie 125's no horn, just rotating speaker. Great for guitar.
 
Have had about 4 of em come and go over the years.

There are some good sims/pedals out there, but NOTHING compares to that spinning horn screamin at your ears. Wish I still had one, but some fool always offers me 4 times what I have into em so I cant help selling em.

Its a moajor part of my Lotto Fantasy rehearsal Room!

I thought the 760 was a 90 watt solid state? Is it modded?

Something is ringging a bell about that , not sure. Yeah didn't they make a semi Leslie?
 
I just bought a preamp for my Leslie so I can properly play guitar/whatever through it. Has hookup for 6 pin cable, and has 25' 6 pin cable with it. Should get it next week.
 
The pramp came with mine. You're gonna love it for sure.

it has 200watt stamped on a' de back o' funky whirly-box?? it is solid state
 
Ain't nothing like the real thing baby. :D

Chopped 147/122 by Paul Holm at Keyboard Specialties. Modded amp to run either line in or use the Leslie as an extension speaker off a guitar amp.
 
C7, do you have the Combo Preamp too or is the 6 pin input abandoned?

I have a 5-function footswitch, connected with a 30' cable and 8-pin Hammond bakelite plugs.

Power on/off

extension speaker on/off

Leslie on/off

speed fast/slow

brake on/off
 
I've got the one that you think Fender makes. It has the Fender grillcloth, but the Leslie badge on it, where you'd expect the Fender logo. I believe it is the 122 Leslie model. And...the speaker IS stationary, and has like a "hat box" with some slots in it, that rotates around the speaker... and the cabinet has grillcloth on three sides as well as the front. SRV made 'em famous. Look on Ebay and you usually see them from time to time.

Heh, I have two. They're back in the states at mom's house. One is black with wheels and is solid state, the other is a late 60's wooden beast with a 12" speaker and rotating horn with a two button footswitch/preamp. It is AWESOME for guitar and keys. There really isn't anything quite like them. I can't remember the model number... It's been a few years since I've even looked at it. I remember it reselling online for somewhere around $800, but that could be wrong. It actually became part of the household furniture over time...

I'd love to collect leslies & Musicman amps

FTR missed a musicman 130head by seconds today on ebay!!!! gutted mind you couldn't really afford it at £300 odd
 
I got a motionsound AR112, and it's pretty cool, but no substitute for a real rotating horn. The AR has one of the baffled hatbox things around a dynamic speaker. Luckily I purchased it before they doubled in price ~5 years ago. I would not buy it again if I had to spend $800.

I still comb craigslist for real Leslies...
