Any ideas on how to mic an archtop guitar?

I'm going to try my old '38 Gibson L-50 as a rhythm guitar on a few songs in the next couple of days and I'm wondering if anyone has some tips on mic placement. Past attempts haven't sounded all that well. I've got small and large diaphram condensers and would prefer to use one mic.

The style will not be chunk chords but more of a simplified Carter family style (bass note/brush downstroke) so as to leave space for the other instruments etc., and at a pretty low volume.
