Are there any good books on PCbased recording? Hopefully that a beginner can understand, without too much technical jargon?

I want one geared toward digital audio vs. midi, 'cause I'm not really interested in midi.Or both, but it has to deal with digital audio.

Huh?

Read the post by Sonusman- "finally I will share some secrets..etc.etc.." there are some books listed in that thread. Bunches.

re

c7sus. I appreciate the offer, but I would have to say all of the above. I've got so many questions about all of it. I just hate looking like a moron, asking stuff that everybody else knows, and I'm using someone else's computer right now, and until I get my own(it's on it's way), I don't have the time to wade through it all.

I have to say , though , everyone on this website has been Extremely helpful. And nobody has tried to make me feel stupid ,yet.

I may make up a list of question's for you and drop you an email sometime if that would be O.K..

Thanx so much, to everybody who has answered my dumb questions for the last couple of days.

No such luck.

I don't have a local Guitar Center. I live in the middle of nowhere. I don't even know if there's one in this state. Maybe New Orlean's. But thanx, anyway.

I thought LA was Los Angelas.....where da hell in Louisiana are you?.....

Do you have a local pawn shop? If they are mostly into musical pawning (or whatever you call it), they can sometimes be helpful. Just go and hang out and start getting on good terms and asking questions. But be careful as of course they want to sell you something, for the most part I have found a lot of them to be truly helpful.

If they do lead you into thinking about buying something, best to come back here and get some second opinions.

Thanx Doods!

And Gidge, Ever hear of Deridder?, I'm about 30 miles west of there. If I was ANY further west I would be in Texas.

Isn't Denham Springs somewhere around BR?
