Was just wondering... I purchased Sampletank 2.5 XL when they (IK) were having a promotion, buy 1 get 1 free and I chose this one over some of the others. Hey it seemed like a good idea at the time! Has or does anyone use this, and if so what do they think? I have not used it yet BTW... Studio will be up and running in about a month!

I just got Miroslav Philharmonik last week--so far I'm loving it. In the past I've been able to cobble together decent classical samples--but they never fit together as well as I'd like them. With the Miroslav set (which seems to very robust in terms of instruments sampled) they obviously fit together perfectly. They were recorded in the same hall, with the same orchestra. And they're all already panned properly. The basses are on the right, the violins are on the left, the french horns come up from the middle.

Yep, I'm loving mine so far. In fact I'm scoring a ten minute video with it. I'll post it when it's done. (BTW--I'm a junkie for a good grand piano sample, and the steinway samples included in Miroslav are almost worth the price of admission by themselves!)

OMG, I did not know it had piano samples- that is excellent. I am a junkie too. I have Piano collection by the makers of omnisynth (can't recall the name now) but they lack in so many areas. The ones in the original sampletank are not even worth mentioning. Hopefully, 2.5 has some better samples.

Thanks

I've got SampleTank besides Miroslav as well. And I've got some kiiler piano samples in Sample Tank--probem is, I can't remember if they were part of the original install, or if they were in one of the expansion tanks.

Look in SampleTank for instruments called "Concert Grand pedal ST" and "Concert Grand Piano ST." There are other good ones, but those are among my favorites.

Here's a recent tune done with Concert Grand Pedal ST:

Yes, I have used it with Reason (I got the rfl version).
It's great, I love it. But obviously not as good as EWQL Symphonic Orchestra.
