I'm quite sure anything I may say in my own behalf will have little effect on what you percieve to be my shortcomings. Rather than answer what I've said all along, you've gone ahead and done like others have done on this thread. You've made your decisions and will stand by them. I have no problem with that.

What I have a problem with is after I related what I used to do, and how it turned out, and my reasons for not wanting to go further with that, I have been judgedas someone who does'nt believe as everyone else and should therefore be preached to so that I may see the err of my ways and repent. I had been told that my views are invalid in the face of percieved infallibility of scripture. So, my friend, you really need to look a little harder at what I wrote and come to grips with the fact that all I have been saying is that nobody here has any right to tell anyone else what to think or do.

I am not on this earth to justify my existence or my views to the likes of you. Nor are you here to justify yourself to me. I don't care what you do. I don't care what you believe until it hurts someone else. When you've crossed that line, and you hurt me or anyone else, we have a problem.

How hard is this concept to understand?

I never said anything that was'nt logical. It may have been a different logic than you can understand, but you are'nt concerned with such things. You, on the other hand, have offered nothing at all other than mindless spew to this conversation. Some of us were having a fair dialogue until you showed up and injected your vitriol into this thread. but I think that makes little difference to someone as highminded as yourself.

And as for manners, I suggest you examine your own. You are one more reason my comments stand. You speak of my villification of others, as if you are somehow different. You make my case without me having to say a word. And if you are one of the "christian" group, then, as I stated before, I want no part of your group or your belief system.

I'll say it one last time. Believe as you like, but don't try to assimilate me into your way of thinking. I have better things to do.

All this started with Mad explaining why he'd quit playing in church. It seemed it all had to do with people with bad attitudes. I was trying to clarify what was important in Christianity, so that he could get past the people and on to what matters.

Mad, have you come to the conclusion that the only right religions are ones that don't think they're the only right religion? That kind of puts those of us who believe in absolute truth in a pickle!
