Any Behringer 9024 users?

Behringer has an editor program available for downloads on their website. I downloaded the program but it does not see my 9024 (which is hooked up correctly via my midi in and out cables)

I get an error when I launch the editor program, "no midi input or output device selected.

I know my computer's midi in and out works. I have other editor programs for other hardware with no issues.

I went into the 9024 global settings to make sure the midi is on and it's on channel 1.

Is anyone using this program and maybe let me know what I might be doing wrong?

Well Behringer sent me back an email back. It looks as though this 9024 editor program is not for Windows XP. It only works on older Windows versions. They are looking into revising it for XP.

The DSP9024 is one of the most incredible pieces of audio signal processing equipment I have ever owned. But it is a PITA to program, because you have to check and tweak EVERY PARAMETER ...IN STEREO...

After a while you just get used to flipping through the options and knowing waht to tweak.

I am really not a big fan of Behringer. There stuff is just O.K. and you get what you pay for. However, I love my DSP9024. It really adds a punch and life to recordings or even in your PA chain (that's how I use mine)

Programming the 9024 sucks. I mentioned that on their website they have an Editor Program for the 9024 you can download. You just hook up your midi in and out cables on your computer and the 9024, launch the program and everything you can tweak is just a mouse click away.

My personal computer has WinXP and the program does not work on XP because the 9024 is a discontinued product. However my company laptop has Win2000 and the program works great.

What a pleasure this program is. You can adjust the 6 band compressor settings in seconds. Anyway, I would never part with my 9024. One of my favorite items of this system is the Virtuoso Mode. It samples your music and determines the compression values for you. You select the type of Compression you are looking for, Light Medium, Tight, Ultra. It analyzes the audio material and sets all six compressors.

Not many places sell them anymore. Maybe you can find one on ebay. Here is a site still selling them for $199.00

XP COMPATIBILITY FIX: I dont know if this fix will work for the 9024 program your trying to run but it often works for getting older games to run on XP that usually only run on prior versions of Windows.

First locate the 9024's launch icon on your desktop or start menu.

Right click it and select PROPERTIES.

Now select the COMPATIBILITY tab.

Check the box that says COMPATIBILITY MODE and select what version of Windows the program is known to be compatable with.

Click Apply or Okay then try to launch the program. (a reboot may or may not be required)

Thanks for the idea. I tried every older version of Win and none of them would work.
It's O.K., I have it working fine on my laptop with Win2000.
