I have an acer aspire 8943g laptop.
I have recently purchased a presonus firestudio mobile.
After many failed attampts to get it working and hours of research i now understand that the problem is that I have an incompatible firewire chipset, (apparantly TI chipsets are the bees knees and my acer unfortunately has ati mobility radeon which is not.)
Although this is very frustraing i have pretty much accepted that there is no way around this.
I am willing to purchase an alternative to the firestudio mobile however i have no way of knowing what will be compatible and if i'm therefore wasting my time.
I'm pretty much stuck.
Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
