I've seen this mic before. Either Reslo or Uher comes to mind, but it may be more obscure than that. Made for home recording reel to reel equipment.

Reel to reel huh? I'm sure I'll find a use for it. The price was right.
I've never owned, nor am I familiar with ribbon mics and their applications. I have heard that they may be used for strings...
