please tell me if the tone is okay.

all vocals/acoustic were done live

harmonium with 57/990

xylo with 2 991's

electric 57 and a 990.

there is supposed to be more of an electric part but i can't tune my damn guitar because of this lame capo that throws it to crap. i'm gonna try one more time...but i'm really getting annoyed with that freaking capo bs.

anyways....

very nice. I initially thought the xylo was too loud, but it grows on you.
cellos & xylos make nice noise.

haha...my cello bow's frog broke! so...yeah no low end besides the harmonium which is only in a few spots.

i ordered a new bow...but the ebay guy is being pretty lame..

thanks though.

This is the first time I've listened to you. I really do like this. The mix I'm hearing sounds like it could benefit from a slight decrease from 10-12khz. The mics you are using tend to artifically hype the high end. Do you add bass to your recordings or do you usually have the cello cover the low end?

I like the harmony work and the melody is quite striking.

yeah...and i hyped the high end on some of these.

yea, our band is in need of something low, but i can only play so many instruments at a time...haha.

the harmonium makes some really nice lows, but it doesn't play all the time

Steve nailed my sentiments exactly so I'm quoting him for emphasis.....great performance of a great tune but too many highs for my taste...getting some sibilence also.....

Really enjoyed this track......

:) :D :) :D

Nice track, interesting sounds overall. Reminds me a bit of a Jimmy Eat World song. Yeah, the xylo does step in front of the vocals a bit and get a bit too bright at times. The tamb may be a bit bright too. The acoustic sounds awesome to my ears, and the vocals are excellent. Very cool, the mix is nice and clear. Good work ;)

keep & bring up the harmonium - I love it.
The tambourine rattle is way too loud.
The vocal balance is spot on.
This is nice work a few tweaks & you're done.
There might be a little too much brightness when the guitar strumming beefs up. there's not a lot of bottom end to balance it out.
Poor frog.
ACE work.
