Really neat tune kcearl :P.. liked it alot. I'm sure I didn't get the real thing though with these crap speakers at work O.o can't wait to give it a listen when I get home. But, very interesting stuff man.. Certainly not my norm at all, but I can honestly say that I very much got into that mix man. Cool, cool stuff. Want to hear more from ya.

hey thanks Volrath

and glad you're seeing how the clinic works...its not that folks wont listen to yours without you critiquing their its just that songs come and go so quickly that people dont have the time to listen to everything so they wont know your name..I generally listen to half a dozen at a time when I have the chance, mostly names I know and at least one n00b

remember its generally a 10% return on veiws to comments, and welcome aboard :)

Listening at something other than a laptop - (well my PC with Sennheiser phones), you're right - no lack of bass.
levels are good. The guitars do really tether this to TuTone in a good way & the brief quotation of of Ghost town in the low synth too.
I like it all.
I think you should look to Shoenberg's Pierrot Lunair for your next inspiration - I'd love to hear Tone Poems with a staggering rhythmic base.
On the band theme - I always got into strife for trying to enjoy myself, or for not being committed (ie: preferring not to jeapodize my day job for a gig at a wedding). enough. As a result I semed to pass through bands though was sacked once because the "band leader" insisted the drummer shave off his beard or be sacked & I told him it was an inappropriate thing to require (I mean, if it'd been about the fellow's drumming it'd have been fair enough). So I was sacked for showing solidarity with the beardy - another member, (& still good friend) quit in protest but joined again soon after.
Oh, & I want no synthetics in the Dub - it has to be Rubber!
Back again - GOOD track Jack.
Now for the take away curry & the tube home to the missus at midnight - Oh, Wellup did that already!
Oh, & no non anologue synthetics in the Dub. It HAS to be RUBBER!

Thanks Ray :D

there's something great about playing solo but youve only got one artists perspective...when I hear originals, like you're collabing on at the moment, then you hear whats others input can achieve...of course it helps if the others are Greg, Gerry, and Joe...but yanno know what I mean :)

I gotta ditto Jeff's comments on this buddy ;). I really liked that snare sound in there. And, as usual, your unique and varied sounds are as pleasant as they are unexpected. But, alas, I could not practice my latest shuffle moves, so I was bummed :(.
:):D:cool:

yeah Im afraid there will be no more shuffling as this will be the direction Ill be going for a while, as per the last 4 or 5 tracks...just trying to get that album together...even if its not a dancefloor smash lol

but remember months ago you played some tunes for you students and I said most of the stuff I produce is dated, and they agreed?...well finally it isnt anymore, not sure I enjoy as sonically as much, but it is more relevant..Ive been asked to do the background music for a local artists Art show and finally getting some airplay on an Long Beach radio station, albeit it a small one...so Ive kinda got to go for it and see where it goes, nowhere probably

anyway enough of my life, are you enjoying the spring weather and have you a vacation planned for this year? :D lol

bloody soundclick..I couldnt get soundcloud to work last night but now it is, this is a 320kbps version...does it work??

Once again KC ... a masterpiece!

Once you get back from selling your house there should be an album in the makings right?

And it's a bit hard to make out the picture you have for shadows. Is it an outdoor stairway?

yeah mate, Im about halfway through with another two tracks nearly finished...man it'll feel like Ive finally achieved something for the last couple of years

glad you liked the tune Henry...its a bit divided opinion so far which is interesting...and good :)

its a stairway but the camera exposure has all the people that are walking up the other side still in the picture. blurred. freaky mang!

Well if you got Greg hooked then you know your on the right track.

I was able to zoom in on the picture and I see what you mean ..... kinda spooky.

Ahhhh! That makes sense then. In that case, you are freakin brilliant man!! I can see this stuff as a back drop for an art show - totally. As you know, me and my songs are hopelessly dated, which is why I liked your previous stuff much better. :)
It's all comin' together here people - light bulbs are going on!
:drunk: BTW - this spring weather in SoCal sux! I got summer plans though! :D:cool:

You go, man... That's seriously... just awesome. Congrats, man!

Really??

wow thanks Jason....yeah its nice to have some interest out of just posting to friends in here and my mates outside, who bar one, dont actually like my music lol

Not my musical thing. But the sounds are all nice and full. Good use of stereo - things are wide but not too wide. Some of the movement across the spread is cool - but again not over done. Put some burping sounds in and call it done. :)

Sounds amazing, Keith....wee tune indeed:rolleyes:;)
Absolutely nothing to criticise here, it's the usual quality stuff. If I had to be picky I would say a nice thumping kick would sound good, but what the hell do I know.....
Great stuff!:)

Scotch would cure the cold.....:drunk::D

Sounds great kc, you're creating your own world with some of these recent tunes on here. The vocals add a great bit of depth, just top work man!

yeah its kinda kick free this one...next one is more of a banger though :)

whisky gave me the cold...fuck whisky  lol

Thanks Rob!!

I live in my own we world here, seriously...I think Ive turned into a hermit!

Im sure a neighbour walked past when I was doing the little vocal bit, they always do...they look at me weirdly too...lucky I live in a gay neighbourhood so theres no small amount of freaks and weirdos around here

not because theyre gay though...lol.... that didnt sound right :)

This is the first tune that I remember hearing from you that I think sounds huge. I listened to it pretty loudly on monitors, and there is a ton of low end, but it never broke up. Very, very good. You are casio king no more!!! :D

up yours harris :D

yeah Ive improved a bit since my casio king days, I hope so anyway...thanks for checking it out and giving it a bit of volume...the bass has always been a bit of a bugbear as its borderline overpowering in just about everything I do..

did you mention the micro x to your lad? thres examples of it in my sig if he needs to hear some clips..assassins flute has quite a bit of it on it and the drums in on the brink were done on it :)

Yeah, that sounds great. There's a whole lot less melody in your stuff now and a whole lot more space. Less clutter I guess. I think it's a little more focused and intense sounding. You worked in a little skanky organ bit there too, which helped me to latch on to the whole dub idea with this one. Way cool my man.

Yeah its hard not to throw everything but the kitchen sink at tunes but thats a habit I have to break...saying that the new one im working on has 18 drum tracks, man Ive got to learn...KCearls Wall of Mud :D
