Again, no vocals. Grateful for any advice.

None of my stuff has vocals. I don't like my singing and I don't like the lyrics I write. If anyone else fancies having a shot at doing some vocals to any of my stuff please free. Post a wav or something so I can mix it in and I'll put it up :)

Ah well fuck ya then. I didn't want anyone to listen it anyway

:p:p:p:p

I'll be listening...I downloaded it. Just haven't had the chance to fire it up yet. I'll post when I do...

I personally think it could use some melodic lead guitar. You have a good framework for it....otherwise it becomes rather monotonous. Perhaps it is just a personal taste I have.:)

I can see where True is coming from. The first section of the piece tend to reside in the same chord(s), so it does sound a bit repetitive. The rest has enough going on though. It would be cool if someone could add some vocals. But overall, I like the playing and the arrangement. I thought the drums were a wee bit loud as in spots they overpowered the guitars. There's some seriously hard/good work put into this which is what I thought while listening so kudos for that.

Awesome. Reminds me a lot of John Denver's early stuff.

Sounds good, very pro sound if you ask me. What is your recording signal chain?
Anyways, if your lead playing is up to the level this piece is, then go on and shred some melodies over that baby:D

My signal chain, as far as guitars go...

Strat>Peavey 6505 layered with Marshall Valavestate 8080>SM57>Joe Meek 3Q preamp>M-Audio Delta 44

Although, if I remember rightly, the 6505 was mixed fairly low as the tubes were on their way out at the time, but gave the guitars a little extra beef.

Bass is plugged direct into the 3Q.

Drums are MIDI obviously.

Nothing too flash really.

As far as lead skills, I couldn't shred over it for too long without it becoming incredibly boring to listen to. I'm not the greatest lead guitarist. Bit of a one trick pony on that front really. I kind of had some Hatebreed style vocals in mind for it, but I'm no vocalist or lyricist.
