another multimix 16 problem

ok, so i finally got a firewire card and i am running everything just fine.

everything set up easily, drivers installed, everything works without flaws right after setting it up. recording multiple tracks goes off without a hitch, playback is fine.

heres the problem, every once in a while i will be just listening to music, nothing in any production software, and ill stop a song, go to a new song and then i have no sound. its playing on the computer, but nothing on the mixer and speakers.

i easily found that turning the mixer off and then back on again solves the problem. but i am worried this will happen while trying to record.

has anyone encountered this problem and what can i do to solve it?

ok since no one with this mixer is having this problem i found a way to solve it myself, without even fixing it hahaha.

i just plugged my old mixer (multimix8 usb) into the computer, and whenever i just want to listen to music and do other non-music production related tasks, i switch to the usb mixer, since it does not share the same problem. it sucks to have to change the settings everytime, but i guess its the price i have to pay, and it only takes a few seconds.
