another monitor related ?

What kind of product is available that I could put between my recorder and active monitors to use as a volume control?Something I could switch between stereo and mono would be a bonus.

Yes, both mine and the SRM80a Bruce mentioned can do this.

I guess I should've looked. I'm guessing that's what the Dual Channel Output Select is. Duh.

Thanks for the suggestions.Both those units look like more than I really need at the moment. I didn't realize I was going to need anything else when I bought the monitors and there is not much left in the budget.While searching the net, I found remote volume controls.I think I could build one fairly cheap using descent components.All I would need would be in/out jacks and a stereo pot.I could make the housing or gut an old stomp box to use.Any other suggestions are appreciated.
