Another mix contest?

PoeticIntensity kindly offered to add some drum tracks to a song we recorded earlier. If anyone is interested, I can post the tracks when I return from vacation in a week. Poetic and I will judge the results.

Tracks are:
Snare
Kick
Toms
L OH
R OH
Acoustic guit
Electric guit
Dobro
Piano
Fiddle
Harmonica (if I can find one with the right tuning)
Vocals

This song will be a completely different genre than Greg's music, and don't expect the tracks to totally mix themselves the way Greg's do.

I'll check back in a few days to see if anyone is interested.

I'll put a quick plug in for this one. I've participated in two of Greg's mixing contests (the only ones I've ever seen here), and having already heard the source material for this one, I've gotta say, this should be a very different contest. The drums I put down for this were recorded *much* differently than I usually do, and I'll 2nd the notion that this won't mix itself.

*note* - correction: There's only 1 tom track, because there's only 1 tom being played. (not "toms")
 
OK then,

seems like there's interest, so I'll post when I get back. Tube compressors and naked mixing are a recipe for disaster, but go ahead Greg.
 
Hmmm... I too am on vacation (which could make things difficult), but I'd be interested.
 
Count me in, too. I'm totally swamped with work right now but I'll try to make some room...

Yeah, vacation... those days where you don't work. I almost forgot. That would be nice.
 
I haven't done one of these for a while and I always lose. So definitely, yes. I can get a read on how off my new subsub-optimal studio set-up is.
 
I'd like to try it too.
It would fun and probably humbling to me.
 
This was started 4 days ago. I hope I am still in port so I can get in on it...
 
No, I'm back, but my studio is in a million pieces right now. Sold some gear, got some new gear, re-wiring patchbay etc. I promise I'll get it up... eventually.
