Hi everyone,

I have a RODE NT2-A which I use for all my recordings (voice and acoustic guitars). I am looking to buy another mic that could complement the NT2-A so that I can get stereo tracking. Given that I use my mic for tracking vocals and acoustic guitars, what mic could you recommend? I'm looking at spending not much more than $500, but would also be happy spending a lot less.

Would it be worth it to buy another identical mic?

Thanks!

I never had enough experience with my rode to see if QC is good enough to pull another off the shelf and be confident in a stereo pair...so rolling the dice with that money isnt something Id advise...but you might consider another flavor too.

I have two NT2-A's and I love them. I use them as drum overheads, stereo mic acoustic guitars and piano, and on vocals. Great mics.
