Another BEHRINGER ?

I just bought the UB-2442fx pro great mixer!!! I also have a fostex vf 160... to lay the track's My question is where would i have to get the monitor output from the mixer?? or the recorder??
does it change during mixdown??? (For those who will problably suggest to check my manual. Not much help i read the whole thing....If you can help please do If you have some stupid ass remark cause you are the almighty engineer PLEASE IGNORE.
and don't suggest google either that's the kind of help i have had from some yet thank's cause some actually do help....
 
I guess it will depend on whether you route back out to your mixer from your fostex, for mixing.

If you don't then you have to monitor from the fostex otherwise you won't hear what you've already recorded when tracking

If you mixdown on the mixer, monitor from there

I havent's tried it because i don't want to burn out the mixer or the recorder. But since you mension it i can direct out the eight channels to the fostex ? insert the stereo out's from the fostex to the mixer and there won't be a conflict of some kind?? I know
i should know believe me the mixer is good but their manual need's alot of work.... Thank's for the help so far.
