Rap usually ain't my cup of tea but I found myself enjoying this one. Atleast it had a nice guitar riff in it. The mix sounded very good, had alot of bass as this type song should. It sounded very good and clear, thumping through my Aiwa stereo system. Nice job!

Lyrics stood out, I could hear them fine and clearly. (pretty good lyrics too i might add)

I found the background vox (double speech was like a bit out of time with the original, that could be tightened - although its fine in the chorus)

i've been watching this thread for a few days now, glad you got it working again. Downloading now:cool:

nice guitar sound, very nice in fact! I was hoping to hear live funky or jazzy drums, but drum machines have their own vibes, too. Yea, the rapper's timing can be a little tighter, but I'm sure he can nail it in no time. The only thing that kinda bothered me was the synth strings, I think it will sound a lot better if you played with the attack and release on it. good mix like usual. Good job

played with it how? shorter? longer? maybe i should just change the sound?

gotta give props to the guitarist, DIed thru a mackie to a delta 66 so the equipment definitly ain't help him out... lol

maybe play a lil with the position of the drums to make them more 'live sounding'?

thanks for the feed

I like the structure of the music and the mix. It had a lot of body but wasnt crowded. Guitar was cool. I like a bit more mid thump on bass and kick and pop on the snare. Man, that cat can spit out some words, a bit louder for me though cause I`m a little high freq deaf. The drums are canned sounding but thats par for rap though I think. Cool piece..

in this case, I would say a slower attack (just a little) and definitely slower decay/release. Oh, and I think it will sound better if you put more layers of dif string patches on top of it and pan them to the sides, too. My comment on the drum was just my personal taste, so nevermind that. But I'm actually looking forward to hear you working with real drums in the future.

i'm looking forward to that too, but who knows when that'll happen

Hey Teacher,

I liked this a lot. Now, I'm no expert on rap, but to my ears this would just slot straight into the "Eminem Show" album, which is a personal favourite. This may not be what you want to hear, but that's what it sounds like. But it would also slot in because it's good enough, too.

It's a long track, and I usually get bored round about 4 mins, but this kept me listening.

Nice work.

Mscmln.

very clean man

the vocals need to be tightened just a wee smidge though, but as is I think it could be on an album
