Sorry for the very basic nature of this question!
Two questions re: analog recording using simple/CHEAP preexisting equipment (analog tape deck and Compaq presario 5868 with a standard sound blaster sound card)
1. How do I convert old, audio tapes made a VERY long time ago to digital to record to CD just to preserve the mix?
I am only able to utilize the mic input of the sound blaster card, which invariably takes the signal from my tape deck and distorts it horribly. Is there conversion equipment that is necessary?
2. Suggestions re: best inexpensive (<$75) software to utilize for guitar recording from a line six POD?
Thanks!!
