Analog tape supplies?

Hello everyone

I've been out of the analog recording loop for quite a while now. Last I heard, Quantegy went bust and people were paying big bucks for dodgy old tape.

What are the 1/4 inch tape supplies like now? Has that new company come through on their promise to manufacture the stuff?

I am learning Protools this year in my media course, but I'd like to do some analog work too.

Quantegy is cranking out tape like there is no tomorrow. They were down for a while, but they're back.
 
...and several other companies will be introducing tape shortly: ATR Magnetics and RMG International.
 
I hope they give us a brand new recorder to go with all that tape, real soon! :D
