analog reverbs in addition to digitals

any' yall ever use real spring reverb, not as a primary, but to get a different sounding bloom? It`s ballsy.

I've used it with an old guitar amp, but never for studio tracks. That's one more thing to try out

In the old days...pre digital... studios had about three options for echo, echo chamber, sprig och steel/gold plates. I think AKG made a studioversion of Spring reverb... not as good as a plate but....
Springs of the Hammond-type has always been to noisy....

I used to have a dedicated spring reverb. I wonder where it went? Hmm...

I want a plate reverb! Maybe I should start looking for those on ebay.

Those are spring reverbs, obviously. I don't know about plates. There was a story in TapeOp recently about how to make your own.

I've got a Tascam RS-20 and RS-20B that sound really good. I only use them when I want to leave my old Fender amp in the closet. They sound about the same as my old Vibrolux.
