Cool, dogs.

I like the rhythmic change-up at 1:22 and back again at 2:20. The part at 2:50-3:00 with the two vocals sounds exactly like what I imagine my dog talks like with other dogs when they're running around and hagnging out. Also, the "we're dogs... hear us woof" line is very dog-like psychologically I think. Did you ever see that Far Side cartoon where the scientist creates a gizmo he wears on his head to translate from Dog to English? As he walks around listening to various dogs, everything translated as "Hey!"

Tim

Hey thanks guys, for the listens :)

Yeah we had fun, but at the same time kept the song as true to dog language as we could. We wanted to keep our appeal to the rougher dog crowd as well as the message board. From the sounds of Tim's review, we accomplished such a rare feat. Now it is yet to be known whether or not Tim's dogs are dogs that take an occasional dip into outer space or are just regular Earth dwelling dogs. Thusly, we are unsure if we pulled off space dogs or dogs.

I haven't seen that far side, but that's pretty funny. You just have to wonder what's going on in their minds sometimes with the random stuff they do. Like I wonder if when my dog Ram was waiting for a long time at the door on this particular day, if he was wondering why he couldn't come in the house...

You should do what the Beatles did at the end of Sgt. Pepper...They put in a high frequency tone for a few seconds that only dogs could hear. So, all over the world, as the album faded out, everyone's dogs' ears would shoot up and the dog freak out a little bit.

I should, but take it to the next level and do a whole album like that. Market it to only dogs. You never know, that might catch on. It can't be any worse than the dog psychologist I heard about awhile back. You call him up, tell him the problem, then put your phone up to the dogs ears and he talks to the dog for however dollars per minute.

Man, that was some psychedelic mindfuck you just put on me....and whilst indulging at that. Damn you, man, damn you! Cool trip...I dig it! :)

Cool seeker, thanks for listen. :) Man, I'm even tripping people out when I'm not meaning it now :p :)

To all the Alien Dog fans/groupies above, I just wanted to make sure you knew Alien Dog has his first solo vocal performance on soundclick now :D It's from Purge's vocal rumble. He did the backing track, I did the extra lead guitar from chorus 1 and beyond, AND Alien Dog does the vocals and original lyrics.

Lyrics and song at:
I Am (The Alien Dog)

Woof! Time to go join Purge's vocal rumble :D

Man, I really like the solos you have behind the verses. I really really love the solos in places. The mini solos and what appear to be sometimes really prolonged solos. They really set the mood.

I love the music behind the verses.

Is everything royally phased or something. Or is it just some instruments. I'm a fan of that phased sound in places but in some places it distracts. I'll listen more and comment more later if I think of what exactly it is about phasing that distracts me. :)

Nice song. I like the speed at which you guys and RAMI keep kicking them out.

Man everything you do sounds like your having a great time. This is too cool. The vocoded vocals are great (im just assuming vocoded). Really liking the drum sounds. Awesome guitar work. Really enjoyed this. Take care

Gary

Hey thanks guys for the listens... I will pass the kind words to Alien Dog too :D Woof.

Big Bubba, yeah I'm being accused in Purge's thread of being the only person to ever run an entire track through a flanger. Haha, I figured I'd make the backing track weird to match the vocals. I probably over did it though. Thanks for the comments on the lead guitar too! I just did some jamming over everything past verse 1 and like how it turned out.

Gbav, thanks man! I always get home after a long day and just want to have fun with the guitar and mess around. Yep, those are vocoded vocals and the drums are a collection of clips of John Bonham. If you're interested in messing around with the clips somebody posted the link in a post above. Take care too man. Glad you enjoyed it.

I was going to say... as soon as I heard the drums

"Is Bonham back from the dead??"

nice fat, big drum sound, I'm diggin that

Led Space Ship is what I hear here haha

thats a tune

thats a true work of art. its effortlessly great.

Led Zeppelin in space baby!

Yeah me and Bon, I see him around my homeplanet sometimes. It's all a consipiracy. Don't tell anyone, but he faked his death and left Earth to escape Robert Plant's hair. Okay seriously though, he'll throw me down a track for the right amount of Gerodalks (our currency)

Okay being serious, really this time, thanks guys for the listens! I appreciate it :)

A dog, a dog, the head of the radios, and a lot of beer... you can't go wrong! We should be recording this :D

Sweet :D We might not have lost our big hit afterall!

This image I just scanned in of a beer bottle is very fitting for the thread and what this thread has become :p
