Hey Sam,
I know you wanna let this die, and I respect that..... but, I just wanna say that not getting this gig is not something that you should bum out over. The folks in here know what youre about, and ....frankly .....you could do better. I like a good metal durge as much as the next guy.... but its gotta have flavor, and the basic r. tracks provided by the "band" really didnt break out of being just a plain durge. I agree w/ the above comment regarding starting your own gig. Youve got a solid direction, and you need some guys that will help you build that into the best thing it can be. Egos are a bitch, and every band and band memeber has em.... Find yourself a passive set of guys that are inspired by what you do, and youve got yourself a winner.
