this one's a bit different than the others i've been posting....

this all-acoustic tune was done using a Taylor 414 and a Seagull Artist Mosaic captured with a shure ksm44 into a rme babyface pro interface, ADK Hamburg mic on voices, carvin lb70 bass into a sansamp di.

There it is! I'd say take it in a CSN route but you are more Joe Walsh/Mark Farner.

Wow, really great, are you using any special tuinings for acoustic, sounds fantastic!! Agree with papanate, has a bit Of Joe Walsh's acoustic stuff vibe, as well as a bit of Zeppelin ala Led Zeppelin lll...great playing and vocals!

Sounds great! I especially appreciate the accurate guitar work.

And I too am a huge ADK fan!

howdy papanate! yea, csn would be a perfect choice as well, i'm a big fan.
i thought about doing just that, then i thought 'everybody will think i'm copping to CSN"! LOL
Farner,
funny you mention him,
he was a very early (very early) influence for sure,
i had the first album through Shinin On, so that's like 8 albums!

hey strat primate!
no special tunings, just standard tunings, they're real easy chords and arpeggios, once you get them down, you can just cycle thru them and solo over the top of them.

i've been a joe fan since james gang, so that's cool to know i somehow sound similar.

howdy flyguitarfish!
glad you enjoyed the playing, really.
yes, i got my ADK Hamburg a long way back, and it's still an excellent choice for a lot of stuff,
but i mostly use it for vocals and acoustic guitar

I like your pic too…I have an ‘86 purple stripe Mark III simulclass/EQ/Reverb. Great taste!

that's cool, i thought i'd end up moving up to a Mark 3 back in the day, but never got a chance.
i bought mine new, while i was traveling full time with a cover band.... i had to wait 6 weeks for them to build it, then i had it delivered to the club i was playing at...
wow, it was such a new thing at the time, 1982, mine is a Mark 2B, 60 watt, EQ, no reverb, no simulclass.
so, (2) 6L6's, and very straight up wiring scheme, tho i have to say, i like what the simulclass does in certain models.
