Well. I read that ASIO drivers have the least latency. So i set my amplitube to AISO but when i hit ok it gives me an error box that says "Hardware audio device for input or output cannot be found." My interface is the TASCAM FW-1804.

Now I installed the most recent drivers off the TASCAM website. Any ideas?

What ASIO driver did you select? When you set the ASIO driver there are usually multiple drivers listed, like a generic one called "ASIO Multimedia Driver" and then a more specific one for your particular hardware, like with my setup I use kX drivers so I select "kX ASIO."

I don't know it didn't give me any options like that. In the drop box it had Direct-X and AISO. Direct-X works but there is a bad delay.

sounds like you may need to wipe those drivers and reinstall... the tascam drivers should show up... what prog are you useing to record???

Well I'm talking about using it in its standalone version. I did reinstall the drivers but still nothing. Thanks

When i record a DI-ed track and run it through the plug-in its fine but I wanted the standalone to be realtime as I'm playing.

my bad... i dont use amplitube and didnt realize standalone was possible with it... are you going to try to use it in a live situation???? sorry i couldnt help more... good luck...
