uh, nice catch.

""We've long known that Tape machines would be considered the 'holy grail' of audio plug-ins. This is something that our customers have been demanding for quite some time," confirmed UAD Plug-In Product Manager Will Shanks."
I had to re-read this few times actually. heh heh heh ...
Did Will just said: "Machines are plug in(s)" ..., and , hmmmmm. the TAPE Machines would be "considered" the 'holy grail' on 'em. (plug-ins, that is)...
I have to echo Tim Beck: - and Social "engineering" it IS. :D

btw, I wonder how many of those people who actually had something to do with Ampex Corporation's legacy in Analog Recording still have anything to do with Ampex Corporation.

ok, I can't wait to see all those Ampex legendary knobs, switches and especially those VU-Meters in action on a hi-def LCD-display. vuuuuuuuuuuuuu - sexssssssssssssssssssssy! :rolleyes:

I just don't understand that a lot of people that like the digital sound needs an analog simulation. If digital is so good them why the new technology of an old and faithful product?

...faithful product?
Uh! Speaking of faithfulness... :)
Since the core of the upcoming "hallowee-y grail" product will be nothing less than the legacy of the AMPEX Corporation, then I expect that it will include Sticky-Shed Syndrome button (feature) with adjustable Severity Knob and ( as a special setting) random appearance (another words - you never know when and where it gonna' kick in :D ).

This would yield a True genuine AMPEX plug-ins "pack".
Authenticity is a must and the key to SUCK-cess!

:D:mad::D

You bet its the same Ampex...

Audio was always the least of what they did...video was the primary for a long time...now data.

Similar to Teac and data.
