Amp modeller? Which one for me!?

cellar- I think you've listened to my music along the way. I mostly use all POD. Mainly just cause I'm too lazy to bring an amp into my studio and mic it up and everything. I can record with the POD with the TV on!

I disagree, laziness is keeping my alive sometimes. Post a link to some of your stuff, I have a friend thats selling a pod xt, and if its really that easy and I can get half decent sound when I feel like playing around with it then maybe I'd go for that.

Assuming you're looking for a software amp emulator, I'll throw another vote in for Guitar Rig. Myself, I use Amplitube more often for simple semi-clean tones, but it's not as good with the crunchy stuff. Guitar Rig also has a gazillion nice effects and is more customizable; plus, it's great with the crunchier sounds. HTH

I've spent some time on the line 6 forums and there are some great debates on POD 2 vs. Pod xt. I'm into metal and listen to every Plug in and modeler demo I can find, IMO the POD xt kicks the most ass....for metal at least

I've got a V-amp 2 and I can't get a clean bright crunch out of the damn thing without running the guitar through a distortion pedal first.
Plug ins are good but can't cut it for really heavy sounds.



I'm not affirming here, just one guys opinion.

I'm working on this song right now...its in very early stages (just started today)..but its on a Vox AD120...I actually DIDNT use my POD! ha ha.

*edited to add* I have a Pod 2.0 and not an XT. Just FYI, I use it (2.0) and a Pod Pro on my stuff.
