Im looking to buy a new amp for my home studio and to gig with. Im looking to buy Anything under $900. I play very funky/neo-soul rock. NO HEAVY METAL. Im looking for a tube amp. IM also buying a fender jazzmaster or jaguar to play with it. I play with a good 10 pedals. It also need to be stylish looking. The band i play in is very funky and we play in very odd and weird places in nyc. If you could list a few that would be great.

Peavey Classic 50. If you can find an older tweed one, they look cool, I find. Plug that guitar into the dirty channel with the gain on 10 and back the volume off the guitar for an awesome clean sound that has some bite to it when you play hard. Very surprising sound.

I've heard the Peavey Classics a few times, and I must say they were very impressive. If I did'nt have a couple of amps already I would'nt hesitate to buy one of these.
You might even consider a lower watt model such as the Classic 30 depending on what kind of volume levels you're playing at and if you're mic-ing your amp.
I'm also a fan/owner of Fender tube amps.

I would say that since you are into more classic sounds, and you want tube, why not go for the real deal?

Super Reverb, Pro Reverb, Vibrolux Reverb...for less than 900 check out early Silverface versions.

Pedals work great with these amps.

No one will diss your amp's appearance if its a vintage Fender. If they do - you shouldnt worry about their opinion.

Just my thoughts...
