I am playing with vocal harmonies with this tune and just wanted some outside opinions...

I like the song but the background vocals are REALLY background! Bring them up a bit so I can hear them and comment on the harmonies. ;)

Wow Ruth...

Your songs continue to give me goosebumps...

Your guitar seems to be overly predominant on this recording... Not as balanced with your vocals as others...

The background vox, like 7 mentioned, are even more subdued and so even tho we can pretty much fathom the desired effect you were going for, the dynamics make it fall a bit short...
From what I could hear of them, I love the harmonies you're adding.

Maybe try cloning the background vox and panning them left and right (not hard, but distinct) to frame the lead vox... That will allow you more headroom to bring them up in the mix and with a touch of verb, blend into a nice full wall... I like the centered effect of the one word accents so you might not want to pan those... mix mix mix ;)

You're awesome!

I am so glad you guys are here to help out with my stuff. I will pan the backing vox harder and bring them up a bit. I'll post it tomorrow for some more scrutiny.

Sounds cool. Voice of an angel to right.
Anyway i would layer the backing vocals more and pan around the clock to get an even spread. Use compression to make the main vox sit better. Have you used any effects on this or do you like it raw?
Gid stuff.

Ha oops, just realised what i wrote! No offence. :o

I don't no what I might take offense to but "none taken". What do you mean by "pan around the clock" I've added very light effects on everything and some light compression to the main vocals. I leave stuff pretty dry because I don't know where my mid ground for that is. I tend to go a little over board.
