Hi Guys.
This is my first posting here. I have been reading this site for over a year now and I have learned quite a bit. I am building my home studio slowly. Right now I am recording all my music through a BOSS BR8. It's time to do my final mixdowns so I went out and bought CakeWalk Home Studio 2002. I also purchased a EDIROL USB digital audio interface. I have installed both of them on my brand new HP Pavilion 7940.
So, I am going out of my BOSS BR8 "digital out" to the EDIROL "dogital in" and from the EDIROL "USB out" to my computers "USB in".
In Cakewalk I am choosing to start a new project. And I choose "Normal" from the list. Then I Choose the imputs from my USB for track 1 and 2. I am recording left on 1 and right on 2.
Well, heres the problem. When I play my music back it sounds like CRAP. I have the imput monitoring turned off. But still sounds like someone is in the backround playing the ass cheeks. Stuttering and kinda choppy. I try changing the Bit depth to 24, but then Cakewalk wont record anything. As a matter of fact, almost everything Cakewalk suggests to fix the crackle or stutter does that. I am really confused as to what to do. I dont think it is the sound card because it is a pretty new computer.
Can anyone help me?
