Hello,
Am I doing something incorrectly, or am I limited to 4 send effects for an entire recording project? I had previously thought it was 4 per channel. For instance, I have a particular chorus on a bass track - let's say the Kjerhaus 'solid el bass' setting. When I open my vocal track, and I want to use a different setting on the kjerhaus chorus - 'vocal', it's already set to 'solid el bass', so I change it.
Then, when I go into the bass track again, the setting is changed to 'vocal'.
Do I need to run another instance of the chorus and therefore take up one of my precious 4 slots for sends? Typically, a song will need the following for me:
Drums: reverb
Bass: comp setting 1, chorus setting 1
Guitar: reverb
Acoustic: reverb, leslie
vocal: reverb, chorus setting 2, comp setting 2, 'da tube'
keys: no effects
That's 5 different effects, two of which have an additional setting, so in essence, 7 different effects.
Thanks for listening to me rant. I'd really appreciate some advice on this. If I can avoid shelling out the $ to upgrade, that would be splendid.
