I use a tascam digital mixer and i record to my computer with it through my tdif card. I never knew how to add external effects to a track on the computer, or i never knew how to it well. Does anyone have this mixer, or know how to do this?

You didn't give enough detail, like which model mixer?
If you use an external mixer, depending on the mixer's design, you would hook an external effect processor to one of the mixer's aux busses.

i use a tmd-1000.

in that case, it does link up to your Aux in and outputs.
