There are several guys around here with a clue.
And I am NOT one of them! :D

Thank you (several of you) for trying to help me to get a clue, it hasnt worked yet, but please keep trying. ;)

It warms my heart to know that my snarky little quips have rallied the hearts and minds of the mp3clinic forum. When I signed up on this forum I was looking for something a little more cut throat. After all, your all musicians; you should be used to having your soul crushed on a daily basis. Club promoter doesn't want to pay, you just fudged the cadenza in your (insert token composer) Concerto...good luck passing on, bass player flakes in your new band and blows a high profile opportunity, the list goes on.

What I have found here is this grade school gallery of feel goodery's and "you can make it if you try" euphemisms. And by no means am I a model of success but I do not have a day job. I eek out a meager living as a musician instead. But hey: "It aint nooottthhhinnn but a gooooood time"

Man, if it weren't for the care free attitude of Poison to real me in.

For the beginner such as myself, yes. It seems to me that everybody has to start somewhere, if we all popped out of our mothers as virtuosos and mix geniuses then we would not need to encourage and correct the beginner.

At the same time, if a "day jobless" struggling musician such as yourself were to post something of a (presumably) more professional caliber, I am confident that those here who are of the more experienced variety would have no trouble tearing it apart to your benefit. ;)

*edit* I see you did post something.

I'm sorry, why didn't you say that in the first place..I would have advised you to join RP.

I listened to your song before I read this.

FUCK OFF.

There are a lot talented cats on this forum, in varying degrees of their evolution as Engineers. If you would have chilled, listened and learned before coming in here spouting USELESS garbage about mastering and the like you would have probably noticed.

Now piss off and go bother someone else with your recycled rhetoric.

btw good mixes in here...dewitt, jeffmaher, pete the heat, GONZO-X, PIs, ido's and that guy whose name begins with an L...his mixes are top notch....nuff said...reeespect...werd :)

Well now... Forgive me father for I know not what I do. I didn't mean to anger the hounds of the MP3Clinic. I was under the impression that I was listening to works in progress. Nothing gave me the impression that most of this work was indeed finished.

Music snob?? Well I guess I may be one because if the sonic landscapes of choice on here is poorly rendered late 90's throw-back rock anthems and the occasional dalliance of punk rock. Time and time again I see well conceived and original musical compositions get swept under the carpet with only two or three comments one of the being me or kcearl.

But then some one posts some ridiculous mutant of bruce dickinson meets all the members of staind schlock and it trends for a week straight. DAMN. and I love me some Maiden.

Honestly, I never started this topic as a troll but I guess it touched a nerve. So here's the last of what i have to say. There's only two people on this forum that seem to have a clue. and I haven't been here long. Kcearl is actually capable of forming an intelligent musical thought, and greg seems as though he is the only one thats not tone deaf and create a mix that isn't flat as the sidewalk.

hmmm....now I wonder who you're talking about here.....
