Allen & Heath Zed series

Are the Allen & Heath Zed mixers better then the soundcraft epm series in terms of quaity and mic pre's . i have a Soundcraft epm 6 which is good but thinking of also getting the A & H, plus are the ones with effects good too, I mean are they top of the range effects or just basic?

I can always get the one without effects as I have a TC Electronic M300.

I have heard the Allen & heath wizard range and they are outstanding.
I did a few songs at this charity event and they had a Allen & health wizard desk there and the clarity the mic pre's were crystal clear.

I have never yet tried the Zed range USB ones yet, i understand that they are the Allen & Heath budget range.
