Allarounder mics?

I'm just starting to do some homerecording (better bedroom-recording) and I'd like to buy a better mic than I have at the moment.
Now my question: Is there a mic existing wich I can use to record my drums my guitar amp, a piano and vocals? At the moment I wouldn't need more than one, because I'm making some "one-man-music" and I record trck after track.

a couple of Rode NT-3's is my tip... great sounding mic.

AKG C3000 is all I have to say. Cardioid/Hypercardioid, -10 db attenuation, bass rolloff, large diaphragm.
