Okay so I recently acquired an otari 8-track 1/2" deck and busted out the old Alesis Studio 32 inline mixer to get her going, but to my surprise I turn it on and the led meters are lit halfway... so I plug in some headphones and I hear constant noise... eff... well so we opened it up and the smaller separate board that looks to be part of the power supply has a couple of big 'ol capacitors and a few seem to be blown... could this cause the terrible noise from to the outputs?? even with a mic into each channel I still see that the individual channels are getting a signal... if it is the caps, could these be eaisly replaced and problem solved or do I need to get another mixer?
Thank you so much in advance

not only possible... but likely... becarefull inside this one... i've only worked on two of them and dont care for how they are constructed... they can be very problematic... there's a good reason they never really caught on...
