Alesis Nano Compressor - decent or not?

The local Guitar Satan is putting the Alesis Nano Compressor on sale for $50. I assume it is because they are discontinuing the product due to their backruptcy. Does anyone have hands on with this unit? Is it total crap, so-so, or actually respectable?

I hate Robin Williams.

Every movie he has been in over the last several years is inevitably described as "heartwarming" - and the most annoying part is that they actually are heartwarming. What an evil word...

Stay away from anything that that says alesis compressor on the front of it.
 
OK here's another name - LAX. I was in Guitar Center and the guy was telling me what a huge deal this $99 LAX CL2000 compressor was. I said "uhhh.... who?" I looked on Internet and can find no info on them. Anyone hear of them?
