Hi, not sure if this has ever been covered. I do a podcast, my old mixer died. Just got multimix 4. With old mixer i was able to have the mic plugged in to mixer and plugged into computer via usb. The audio on my computer would loop back into the mixer and be part of the recording. I'm not sure if i'm articulating this correctly.

Basically any video or song i played on my computer was picked up and played back through the mixer. Can the multimix do this? I have been unable to set it up to do this. i'm hoping there is a setting on my computer i have incorrectly.

The multimix USB 2.0 units have in and out capability - which is what you are asking for. Not sure what model you have but most of them can do it. You have to set your sound output device as the Alesis.

I don't think mine is USB 2 or at least it doesnt say it is anywhere on the box or the unit.

Also I already have it set as output device, I can hear all the audio I play view the mixer's headphone port. When I look at the audio input their is nothing being sent through, unless I use a mic or device plugged into the mixer
