Alesis M1 active

Hey guys, I have a pair of M1 actives thats my first set of monitors. I found a really good deal on them and Ive heard alot of good things about them like their bass responce but I have nothing to compare it against. Like everyone says its different in every room so I couldnt just try it out at the music store and get the same results at home. Either way what are your thoughts on these monitors? My room is about 10.5'x19' and the monitors have to point across the skinnier side. Eventualy id like to add a set of 20/20's but for right now this is it.

My partner bought a pair for his techno/mix studio. They are kickin little speakers for the price. The amps are matched just perfect. Sound quality is consistent level all the way from low to turn the shit down. I like them but of course his music isn't exactly mixed with crystal clarity in mind. (not sure how they are on playbacks of acoustic instruments)
