Alesis io26 power problem

I have a problem with my new Alesis soundcard, occasionally the sound card just loses power for a few seconds and then the power comes back. Has anybody else had the same problem? And any ideas what may be causing it?

Laptop or PC?
 
Yeah, its happened to me a few times. Not during recording or playback, just when it wasn't in use. Weird. I only have it on firewire power so I just assumed it was a power glitch that can be resolved by plugging in the auxiliary power source that comes with the unit.
 
It is a shame that internet memory is SO short!

Alesis had that POS Adat card that nobody could seem to get to work properly.

Alesis and soundcards is NOT a good mix. :(
 
Im running it with pc but im using both firewire and the power adapter and the card loses all power not just from the firewirecard

mine does the same thing, almost like its resetting itself. its happened when i was recording and during playback.
