I have an old Alesis D4 drum module that is doing something strange. I have in midi'd to my computer as part of my overall setup. I can program sequences using both an HR-16 drum machine and external trigger pads that are hooked up to the trigger inputs of the D4. The problem occurs whenever I open a sequencer file on the computer. All of a sudden, I lose the ability to trigger sounds from the pads! I have to shut the D4 off and back on and I get the triggers back. Has anybody else had this type of problem? Is there a reasonable solution? Does anybody know what would cause this? Every other function of the D4 remains the same but the external triggers will not triggers sounds. Thanks.
