The truth is it doesnt matter what alesis product you buy they are all cheap and no where near pro gear.
All of alesis,s stuff is a cheap way to Record and always has been.
Not that thats a bad thing.
Wrong Herm. Firstly Alesis had made some great gear over the
years. The Adat changed everything in the world of recording.
It started the whole revolution of quality digital recording for the
masses at home. The Adat is still considered "pro". When the
original black face first came out they would cost over 3 grand
a pop here in the NW, so that can hardly be called cheap. And
Adats have been used for many pro albums over the years.
The Masterlink flat out kicks butt, and is also very pro, being
found in many pro studios and post production houses.
And the new HD24 is a great unit too. Ever heard of light pipe?
If alesis is guilty of anything Herm, it would be of putting
out way too much crap gear (3630...) compared to the few great
contibutions they have made over the years. They seem to be
following this trend unfortunately.
I'm not disputing that they have created some absolute bottom
barrel units, but when someone says ALL Alesis gear is "cheap
and no where near pro gear", and "All of alesis,s stuff is a cheap
way to Record and always has been" I think a little clarification is
in order.
