I know this is the wrong forum, but people on this site seem to be the most knowledgable and willing to help. Plus everyone knows the 3630 except me!
I am trying to tweak this thing to capture a verrrrryyyyyy llllllooonnngggg sustain for a single geetar note. I scored it for $10.00 from a garage sale and it seems to work.
I know its more than capable, but I also bet that someone will know the exact settings to as Tascam says: "Capure My Art".
Played with my new m-35 mixer over the weekend....sounds really good.Pretty much just messing with single channel strip direct outs and the aux/sends jacks. I love this thing. I have a really bad back, and built a rack/roller for it and run this board standing up. Just using it for front end stuff for now, but I really like the rear jacks layout for fast routing applications. Im going to experiment with a setup with the channel direct outs on the 424mkIII, pretty much the way its supposed to be setup with the 40-4.
In the final analysis, I think the best sound will be simply omitting all the crazy ideas and simply using the portastudios internal mixer. Strange...It takes all this experimentation to "get" the philosophy of the Portastudio.
At first intro into this world, I thought the Portastudio was very "limited". Now I think it is totally the opposite and makes more sense than anything else. All things considered the journey alone really helps.
thanks,
clevo
